One panel with DAYWIRE One. Two with Duo.

Microinverter

Converts the panels’ output into electricity your home can use.

Mounting hardware

Supports and fixings matched to the selected mounting option.

Connection leads

Cables to connect the system, as specified for the final kit.

How it works

A small setup. A useful contribution.

Solar can cover part of your daytime electricity use. Your home still draws from the grid whenever it needs more.

See the balance change
Solar and grid electricity supply the home togetherAn example home uses 800 watts. Solar supplies part of this, and the grid provides the remainder. Adjust sunlight to see the balance. Solar panels650 W Microinverter Your home800 W in use Grid150 W

Solar supplies 650 W. The grid supplies the remaining 150 W.

About the technology

A closer look.

Illustrative macro view of solar cells beneath panel glass

Turning daylight into electricity.

Photovoltaic cells convert light into direct-current electricity. How much they generate depends on the sunlight reaching the panel.

From panels to your home.

The microinverter converts that direct current into alternating current, synchronised with the grid supply your home uses.

Illustrative detail of a solar panel frame and its supporting stand

Supporting the panel.

The frame holds the panel and provides the connection to its supports. The right mounting arrangement depends on where you put the kit.

Potential savings

How this estimate works

Based on the planned 460 Wp and 920 Wp panel arrays and an assumed yield of 850 kWh per kWp per year. Direction factors are 1.00 for south, 0.72 for east/west and 0.55 for a less favourable position. Savings count only electricity used at home at your selected tariff. Actual output varies with location, shading, mounting angle and weather. No export income is included. This is an estimate, not a site assessment.

Your space

Find your sunny spot.

Space, sunlight and secure mounting matter more than the type of property.

Balconies

A sunny balcony with room for a panel, suitable mounting and any permissions your building requires.

Patios & gardens

Courtyards

A smaller outdoor space can work when it has enough sunlight and clear space for the kit.
